Tartan Day, 2013

The celebration included our annual spring hike in the mountains -
this year at Pilot Knob overlooking Lake George, NY.
2013 Tartan Day pin

This year April 6, the official Tartan Day, was on a Saturday and attracted a larger group to celebrate. Members and friends in the Lake George area met for a morning hike at the Pilot Knob Preserve. They enjoyed a brisk but sunny day, a great view of Lake George, and the traditional toast to Scotland. Lunch followed at a local pub.

Thank you to Paul Supley who once again donated commemorative Tartan Day pins for the participants. Paul has given pins each Tartan Day, even when he could not make the hike.
